تم نہ تھے وسوسوں کے گھیرے تھے
گرد میرے بلا کے پھیرے تھے

Tum na thay, WaswasoN k ghairay thay

Gird meray bala k phairay thay

تیرے کوچے کی آخری شب میں
غم، خموشی، گھنے اندھیرے تھے

Teray koochay ki aakhri shab main

Gham, Khamoshi, Ghanay andheray thay

تم نے رکھا تھا سینت کر جن کو
سچ تو یہ ہے، وہ خواب میرے تھے

Tum nay rakha tha saint kar jin ko

Sach tu ye hay, wo khwab meray thay

دل میں پھر جشن کا اک عالم تھا

روح میں درد کے پھریرے تھے

Dil main phir jashn ka ik aalam tha

Rooh main dard k pharairay thay

کمرہ گھر کا گرا دیا آخر
خواہشوں کے جہاں بسیرے تھے

Kamra ghar ka gira dia aakhir

KhwahishoN k jahaN basairay thay

فاصلوں کی ڈگر پہ قدموں کے
سب نشاں میرے تھے، کہ تیرے تھے

FaasloN ki dagar pe qadmoN k

Sub nishaN meray thay, k tairay thay

جب تماشا محل میں برپا تھا
جھونپڑی میں قضا کے ڈیرے تھے

Jab tamasha Mahal main barpaa tha

JhonpRi main qaza k phairay thay

نیند میں ہم رفیع کچھ کچھ تھے
اور وہ بھی ملے سویرے تھے

Neend main hum Rafii kuch kuch thay

Aor wo bhi milay sawairay thay

    I just love urdu script. Dil khush huwee yahaa aakar 🙂

    I know I know … i am bad at Hindi or Urdu. but I can understand it a little bit.

        I have read your poem in Urdu before this reply and find so nice. there is some mistakes in Urdu script, if you want I can send you the script after correction.

        Keep reading in Urdu script, it will give you in return very nice feelings…

        Yes, I would like a correct urdu script. If you read the comments on my Kaifiyat post, you would have gathered that I myself did not do the urdu scripting. It was done for me by me lovely blogger friend Nalaik Panda 🙂
        and he in fact did some corrections for my broken urdu wordings. But he also stated in the e-mail to me that he got lost with a few words … so he did his best.

        The whole point of me attempting to write in urdu is my interest in learning the language. So yes, I would be glad to recieve any help.
        and I get so confused with Hindi and Urdu … am not sure how to differntiate both languages …

        hum tho koshish bohut karthee hoon … mazaa aathaa hey jub urdu main baath kerneykee furusath miley .. 🙂

          Yes, I had gathered the whole story in my first attempt then. Nalaik has been done good job at the extant of his knowledge………appreciable.
          More you will write in Urdu, you will learn quickly.
          It is easy to differentiate Urdu & Hindi gradually in the process of learning. It is about Sanskrit words. For the learning of Urdu, as always, have to read allot in Urdu.

          “” Main nay ap ko eamil kardia hay. Os main kuch misray (lines/verses) edit kiye hain. ye free style verse hain. is liye main nay rhythm ko nahi chaiRa (tamper 🙂 ). ap nay darya ki rawaani ko socha hoga, agar Nazm main is rawaani (flow) ka khayal rakha jaaye tu qaari (reader) os main behta chala jata hay.
          Aap Urdu seekhnay ka khobsorat amal jaari rakhain. Ap jald seekh jayengii.
